Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information The Line collects when you play the daily word game and how we use it.

What we collect

We do not ask for personal information to play the game. Your game progress, score and settings are stored in your browser using local storage so the page can remember your result and preferences.

If you create a player account, we store your email address so you can sign in. You can optionally choose to receive a short daily email alert when the new puzzle is live.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the game, measure how it is used, and show advertisements.

Managing your consent

You can change your cookie choices at any time by clicking the Cookiebot icon in the corner of the screen, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Daily puzzle email alert

Signed-in players can opt in to one daily email telling them that the new puzzle is ready. The box is unchecked when you sign up, so you only receive the alert if you explicitly ask for it.

You can turn the alert off at any time from your player profile page, or by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any alert email.

Third-party services

We use Google AdSense to serve ads. Google’s use of advertising cookies is governed by its own privacy policy and cookie policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game changes. The latest version will always be available at this page.
